2ND PERMACULTURE TEACHER TRAINING (PTT) COURSE IN HONG KONG DURING SOUTH EAST ASIAN PERMACULTURE CONVERGENCE

23-28 NOVEMBER 2012

In the free permaculture program with local farmers and citizens we have a small farms market, where farmers and consumers can meet face to face without complicated organic certificate. We use 10% of trade as public fund and invite many progressive minded experts for lecture, so that both producers and consumers got benefited. Most of the lectures are properly documented and posted on YouTube for wider access. Please visit our blog http://hualien-permaculture.blogspot.tw/. As the activities grow, we registered an association, HuaLien Permaculture Association, in 2011; and involved in several Permaculture projects in the aboriginal villages. In 2012, using open space technique we developed several sub-organizations, such as green care, co-operative movement, and LETS. We formed the first LETS in Taiwan and also developed software for accounting. Recently we are focusing on the co-operative education to empower people the skills of co-operation to address the on-going economic crisis.

– I also worked as an assistant teacher or translator in several PDCs hold in Taiwan.

– to enhance myself and equip myself with better teaching skills, depth of Permaculture wisdom, and also working network.

– Being a Chinese-speaking person, I feel many people in China are waiting for a more sustainable ideology and also practical approaches. We have gained certain experiences how to help people using Permaculture.I wish to work with other experienced teachers to develop Permaculture in China.
